Testimonials

"As a former student of both Suzanne and Travis, I can attest to the dedication and passion they put into their work. Whenever a student would struggle grasping a concept or fall behind in class, Travis would use different methods to connect with the student and help them understand. Suzanne uses stories from her 20 years of experience to give us an inside look at how massage has changed and what we may encounter in the field. "

Testimonials

"If anyone I know is interested in becoming a massage therapist, this is by far the most amazing and highly respected massage school in this area.

Suzanne Reynolds is co-owner of the school and has a solid reputation as an instructor. Ask any student who has attended a massage school in Vancouver and surrounding areas over the past 15 years, and you will likely here them mention her name with positive and loving admiration. You are also likely to hear how she has changed their lives for the better just having her as an instructor. She is highly respected and admired by everyone that knows her. I can't recommend this school enough. I'm so excited to have a school in this area that has such a strong foundation of amazing instructors that offer the highest quality massage therapy education"

Inspiring and Educating Healers

The Pacific Northwest Massage Academy mission is to educate, inspire and serve our community through the healing power of massage therapy and bodywork.

Our Philosophy

At PNWMA, we believe in going above and beyond expectations.

This reflects in our massage therapy training program which far exceeds accreditation requirements. Industry experts with experience in the local community serve as not only educators but as mentors during and after training to offer advice and assist with career development.

As a student of PNWMA, the above and beyond philosophy will be applied to your curriculum to bring out your healing capabilities. In the classroom and clinic hours, you'll be readied for the challenges and growth opportunities with real world clients.

Your education as a healer does not end after graduation. We offer continuing education consistently to help graduates and other healers in our community so that we may all continue to improve our skills. We aim to be a force for quality education.

20+ years in the healing arts

Travis received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in K-12 education at Concordia College in Portland in 1995. In 2001, he received his LMP Licensure from Cedar Mtn. School of Massage (CMCM) and went into private practice focusing on a therapeutic style of massage therapy, integrating trigger point therapy and other deep tissue modalities to help clients and athletes recover from injuries and the aches and pains of everyday life.

Travis started teaching A&P at CMCM while still in school for his massage training. In 2006 he started teaching at Evergreen Center for the Healing Arts where he became the lead instructor of the program, teaching A&P, Kinesiology, Pathology, Deep tissue and Trigger point classes, and leading staff meetings and development. He was later named head of curriculum development from 2009-2011.
